The Kenwood KD-3070 is a simple but funny direct drive unit, capable of producing good sound quality.
It is very interesting this unit, it uses the same “S” tonearm and the same motor as its big brother the KD 5070, I would say it is the ideal solution for those who are starting in this world, it is a cheap investment, you get them at good prices, they are easy to handle, well built, and sound very good.
They only have mechanical auto-return of the tonearm at the end of the record, so few problems can arise…
The only downside is that the plate doesn’t have the strobe indicators for the 45 rpm, it only has them for 33 rpm… if that’s not a problem for you it’s a good chance this unit.
